MAT 298 - Prof Dev in Math and Data Sci
Professional Development in Mathematics and Data Science
Prerequisite: Mathematics or Data Science major with Sophomore standing or higher.

This course guides students through professional development tasks for finding a job, an internship, or applying to graduate school in Mathematics or Data Science. Activities include identifying potential mathematical and data science careers, developing a professional resume, writing a cover letter, researching the job market, preparing for interviews, and creating a professional social media profile. Students will also attend events both inside and outside the Department that will provide opportunities to meet and network with professionals in a range of mathematical careers.
