Prerequisite: ART 122 and ART 124

This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of typography, its theory, technology, history and contemporary practice. Projects will explore the study of letterforms, text composition, layout and page systems, expressive typography, proportion and girds, hierarchy and legibility.
