ART 332 - Photo Imaging
Photo Imaging: Art & the Digital Camera
Prerequisites: ART 122, ART 124 and Successful completion of the Digital Art and Design Portfolio

This course provides an art-focused experience in digital photography including capture and post-capture editing with Adobe Photoshop, aesthetics, lighting, and art and design portfolio production. Online presence will be covered in regards to posting images, copyright protection, artist sites and publications. Class will consist of demonstrations guided projects, and lab time to complete course objectives. A general survey of the history of photography and contemporary work as it relates to art and design will be given throughout the semester via artist images, discussions and online research as a means to understand how the aesthetics and technical realities of digital imagery can be created, interpreted and criticized.
