African-American Art
Prerequisite: LAC student with T1A, T1LT, T1H or T1SS course or GER student

This course surveys the lives, works, and achievements of African-American visual artists from the early 1600s to the present. The couse will examine the various social, political and economic circumstances in which African-American artists worked as well as the ways in which African-Americans have been represented in art.
