BIO 344 - General Mycology |
General Mycology with Laboratory Prerequisites: BIO 120, BIO 140, BIO 230 and BIO 240 with a grade of C- or better. BIO 344 will cover a broad array of topics in mycology including genetics, evolution, biochemistry, and taxonomy. The course will also delve into how fungi affect human helath, their importance to agriculture, as well as their indispensable roles in ecosystems and in the field of biotechnology. Students will complete semester long projects on topics in fungal biology.
