Labor Relations and Employment Laws
Prerequisite: BUS 201 or BUS 230

A broad understanding of the American labor history and how it shaped the current labor-management relationship, including contemporary labor relations processes such as union organizing, collective bargaining, and grievance resolution. An in-depth examination of the labor laws and the employment laws that shape the employment relationship in the United States with a focus on the rights of employees and the responsibilities of employers.
