COM 310 - Advanced Photography |
Advanced Photography Prerequisite: COM 210 Focus is on venues of publication in mass media communication, including photojournalism and marketing techniques. Fundamental camera concepts of exposure and camera operation are reviewed. Lecture/lab topics include image protocols and techniques for photojournalism. Adobe Photoshop basics are reviewed before learning advanced techniques, such as Beauty retouching and photomontage are introduced along with ethical issues regarding image manipulation with photojournalism and Marketing images. Photographer ownership protections of U.S. copyright law is covered.
