COM 550 - Video In Ed: Media Convergence
Video In Educ: Media Convergence Experiences In Education
Prerequisites: None

This course has three basic components to it: (1) An overview of the theoretical foundations of distance education and the technologies involved in the delivery of educational material, especially television and streaming video; (2) An introduction to basic concepts of aesthetic and technical principles of television production in order to understand their role in the construction of effective educational content; and (3) A critical analysis of the various educational television formats and a review of educational television (video) as implemented by different institutions across the nation and the way in which technological convergence has become an added value to his educational delivery system.
