DNC 254 - Modern Dance II
Modern Dance II - Intermediate
Prerequisites: DNC 253 or Permission of instructor

Explores concepts of modern dance through development of intermediate skills in alignment, transitions, "use of weight", performance quality, core movement, and dynamic range. Students will also learn about key choreographers, dancers and innovators in the field of modern dance, and explore the influence of non-Western forms and distinctions between "modern" and "postmodern" dance through applied research.
