ECE 330 - Math Pedagogy Early Chld Educ
Math Pedagogy in Early Childhood Education
Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education Program
Permission of Advisor Required

Examines the teaching and learning of mathematics within the early childhood classroom. Focus will be on the study and implementation of the principles of the national math standards, curricular development, assessment and differentiated instruction, and the integrated curriculum. Active construction of children's physical and logico- mathematical knowledge will be studied, with particular emphasis on appreciation for cultural variations. The role of educational technology within this curriculum will be actively studied.
