ECO 101 - Intro Economics For Education
Introduction To Economics For Education
Prerequisite: Liberal Studies Majors Only

This course will provide an introduction to economics for education majors by focusing on the fundamentals of economics. This course emphasizes the impact of the economy on individuals and society. In this course students learn about the basic tools of economic theory used to study markets, consumer behavior, the behavior of firms and the overall economy. We will examine how markets work and how supply and demand interact to determine prices. We will also study the role of the government in market activity. Students successfully completing this course should leave with an unerstanding of these basic economic principles and their applicability to real world situations.
