Field Methods In Marine Environmental Education: Project O
Prerequisite: Permission of Instructor Note: EDU 539 and SCI 546 is an integrated sequence and must be taken together. Students should register for both classes. Will give teachers an opportunity to learn how to incorporate marine studies in their classrooms and on field trips. Will cover: (a) a review of available resource materials including oceanography curricula, books, films, etc.; (b) the use of classroom and laboratory activities such as experiments or maintaining marine aquaria; (c) the planning and conducting of shoreline and on-the-water field trips using hands-on activities.
