EES 306 - Sustainable Buildings
Sustainable Buildings
Prerequisites: EES 205 and EES 207

Energy consumption for heating, cooling, lighting, and appliances in conventional buildings and strategies for reducing energy consumption and carbon emission will be discussed and analyzed. Included topics are: building and community rating systems; green building concepts, energy efficiency, renewable energy systems, including the analysis and design of solar thermal, passive solar, solar electric, wind and hydroelectric power systems for buildings.
