EES 456 - Coastal Geologic Hazards
Coastal Geologic Processes and Hazards
Prerequisites: EES 130 and EES 224 OR permission of instructor.

This course is an in-depth look at coastal geology from a variety of perpectives, including; landforms coastal processes, coastal development, management and geologic hazards, including sea level rise and coastal storms. Geologic effectiveness of engineering structures and management techniques including managed retreat will be discussed. Required (Saturday) field-trips to the coast will make up a portion of the lecture hours.
