French Cinema Prerequisite: None Overview of French cinema, from 1895 to the contemporary period, including the New Wave,Cinéma du Look, Banlieue, Heritage, and Women's Cinema. We will examine various genres and their French specificity and various aspects of filmmaking. Focus will be on the creative process. Critical discussion and analysis of French films (many with socio-political message).
