Prerequisite:LAC student with T1A, T1LT, T1H or T1SS course or ELAC student

This course examines the culturally-specific ways in which gender relations interact with notions of sustainable development in different global locations. Readings will examine ideas about gender, environment, and developmental sustainability as social constructions always subject to change and, in conjuction with class, race, global, and cultural location, as potential impediments to attempts to improve women's lives.
