The Birth of Europe Prerequisite: None The history of Europe to AD 1500 witnessed artistic and technological revolutions, the origins of theater, philosophy, and science, and the development of literature and history. These feats of creativity occurred against a backdrop of wars and migrations that influenced and spread cultural change. HIS 230: The Birth of Europe will explore early European history with particular focus on creativity.
