Great Issues: A Survey Of American History Prerequisite: Junior or Senior Standing; LAC student with T1SS course or ELAC student United States history from the colonial period to the present is explored from the vantage point of enduring great issues, such as democracy, capitalism, and civil rights, among other. Issues change from semester to semester. This course is especially suited to upper class students with no previous college history and for those seeking teacher certification.
