Connecticut History Prerequisite: None The course examines the growth and development of Connecticut from the colonial period to the present. The settlement of Connecticut followed closely that of Massachusetts. Yet many people believe that it is different from the rest of New England, because Connecticut did not share fully the Yankee traditions, values, and institutions long associated with the rest of traditional New England.
