The Vietnam War posed an unparalleled challenge to U.S. supremacy after WWII -- had our nation lost it's way? In this class, we will examine the history of the conflict with particular emphasis on global politics. We will read memoirs from soldiers and journalists, consider the effect on the war on American society, discuss the role of the media, and assess its legacy since 1975.
