Independent Study in Health Sciences III Prerequisites: None, Requires Permission of Instructor and Department chair This is for junior and senior level students who are interested in pursuing an independent research project. This course allows student to be associated with a faculty mentor. This course offers a more flexible variation in which students can pursue a reading, research, or thesis project with a faculty member of their choosing. They also provide students an opportunity to assume a greater share of the responsibility for their own education other than in the traditional classroom situation. Regardless of the nature of the experience, the work must culminate in a formal paper or presentation.
