MUS 312 - Theory of Music IV |
Theory of Music IV Prerequisite: MUS 309 In Music Theory IV, the student will explore late- and post- tonal music, that is music from ca. 1850 up to the current time. Students taking this course will become familiar with analytical tools that will enable them to parse the complex relationships that occur in recent music. Projects and assignments completed during this course will demonstrate critical thinking as expressed through the understanding of contemporary classical music. 3.000 Credit hours 3.000 Lecture hours Levels: Undergraduate Schedule Types: Lecture Music Department Prerequisites: Prerequisite MUS 312 General Requirements: Course or Test: MUS 309 May not be taken concurrently. |
