MUS 361 - Leadership in Music Orgs
Leadership in Music Organizations Prerequisites: None
This coure will explore the leadership and structure of music non-profit organizations in the US and abroad through a series of case studies, guest speakers and interviews, off-campus observations, and a survey of written material on the subject of leadership in the arts (specifically in music organizations including music festivals, symphonies, opera companies, conservatories, non-profit organizations, professional choruses, orchestras, etc.) Course material will also consider the role of the music organizations in commumities and provide students with hands-on experience in the field through the completion of a final project.
