Psychology And Culture Prerequisites: 21 credits in Psychology This seminar course focuses on the study of human behavior both within and across cultures. Cross cultural and multicultural frameworks will be utilized to better understand how culture impacts human behavior. Diverse racial and ethnic groups within the United States as well as other cultures around the world will be studied. Specific topics include how culture impacts communication, interpersonal and intergroup relationships, assessment and treatment of psychopathology, and the agents that help individuals learn cultural norms and values (e.g., families, peers, institutions). 3.000 Credit hours 3.000 Lecture hours Levels: Undergraduate Schedule Types: Seminar Psychological Science Department Restrictions: May not be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Non Credit Prerequisites: Prerequisite PSY 421 General Requirements: Course or Test: PSY 100 to 4XX Required Credits: 21.000 Minimum Grade of D May not be taken concurrently. |
