Student Teaching-Elementary Schools
Prerequisites: Completion of Core I And II of Elementary, Approval of Field Experience Coordinator Education certification program, and EDU 450

A full semester of teaching experience in the classroom designed to translate theory into practice. Seminars required. Graded by credit/no credit. Completion of professional courses, admission to the Teacher Education Program, and submission of student teaching preference form. This course clearly identifies the student teaching experience required for initial Teaching Certification issued by the Connecticut State Department of Education and is consistent with Connecticut State Department of Education Requirements.
