Prerequisite: PSC 110 or 200

Note: Open to Social Work majors only or permission of instructor.

Exploration of the use of social policy for meeting human needs and achieving social ideals. Introduction to the processes of policy making and the implementation emphasizing the impact of the political, economic and cultural climate on social welfare policy and the roles of the public and private sectors in the delivery in social welfare services.
